Brixton plc converted to Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) status with effect from 1 January 2007.
As a result, Brixton will no longer pay corporation tax on profits and gains arising from its qualifying property rental business provided that it meets certain conditions. One of these conditions is that 90% of the income profits of the qualifying property rental business are distributed each year.
Below are a series of downloads and links which provide more detail on the REIT regime and its impact on Brixton and its shareholders.
